It is always fascinating to see where some Bedford Harriers turn up outside of a running context. This was certainly the case with David Russell who attended the opening of the new Guru Nanak Gurdwara Bedford [ a Sikh temple ] on Saturday 7 April in his capacity as Chief Executive of The Bedford Charity [ The Harpur Trust ]. The Charity has a large grants programme which supports a wide range of community and educational projects in the Borough of Bedford and the Gurdwara is one of the organisations which have benefited in recent years.
